Carlos Celdran.
Carlos’ reputation precedes him. This witty wag of a man in a top hat, a barong tagalog, a cassette recorder and portable microphone, a clear book of pictures and a messenger bag full of props blazes a trail by which tours are guided in the Philippines.

Tourists typically give Manila a wide berth, or else use the smoggy, chaotic Philippine capital as a mere layover en route to one of the country's coastal resorts. More fool them. If you take time to explore it, Manila pays rich dividends. One of the best ways to get to know the city is through the half-day walking tours given by the garrulous Carlos Celdran.

Did Carlos brought you to a place where falling debris abound? :D

great sign. I don't think I'd sit there. :)

Looks like quite a character!
OT: no, the fashion show was not just for me, there were a lot of invitees. I was asked to fall in because the planned photographer was ill.
I enjoyed it.

Beaucoup de douceur dans le regard du premier portrait, ce beau personnage est très bien capté, très représentatif de ce qu'il est. Bonne fin de week-end :-)

This fellow has style and an interesting persona. I like the shadowed face. I'd like to visit there someday.

I have been advised by some of my Phillipino friends to just quickly pass through Manila and see other areas, but from your shots and commentary I would spend at least a couple of days there to experience the place

Love the sign in the second picture. In Canada, we have the "watch out for falling ice" signs
(The portrait above is beautiful)

Very colourful people here! I like Carlos's tall hat. Whenever I visit Manilla I'll make use of their services.
